MooreWrap Training & Sewing Academy

Craftsmanship. Empowerment. Made in America.

From Vision to Purpose

After high school, a shy young lady began modeling in Washington, DC. Her first print job was for Nina Hyde of The Washington Post.

She was later hired by Wilhelmina Models International and moved to New York City, where she worked with Essence Magazine as a Fashion Stylist and began representing designers.

In 1980, TDG Designer’s Goldfinger was incorporated — setting the foundation for MooreWrap.

God gave her a vision: a garment that could be wrapped Moore ways. When a large order arrived from Peru, everything changed.

MooreWrap Journey
MooreWrap Mission

Made in America. Built for Justice.

MooreWrap is committed to American craftsmanship and meaningful job creation. Our earliest garments were made by local seamstresses in the DMV, ensuring quality, dignity, and control at every step.

As a Black-owned business, MooreWrap supports women affected by domestic violence and returning citizens re-entering society. We believe fashion can be a tool for justice.

Inspired by Bryan Stevenson’s words — “The opposite of poverty is justice.” — MooreWrap Training & Sewing Academy exists to empower through skill and opportunity.

Through our Kickstarter campaign, we invite you to join us in building a future where talent thrives and communities rise.
